Which brings us to the subject of this post: my band Normandy. Tonight, Wednesday, June 30, Normandy will be hosting a release party for our new EP, Loiterer, at Bruar Falls in Brooklyn. We’ve spent the past six months recording and mixing the record and the past two months assembling some of the best bands in town to join us on stage: Knight School, Murder Mystery, and Miniboone. The festivities start at 8:00 p.m., and we’ll be handing out free EPs to the first 100 guests. So come early and often.
To whet your appetites, I’ve posted the title track of the record above. If you like it, by all means, hit reblog. The rest of the record is streaming here and should be available on iTunes soon. But for now you’ll have to make do with the ephemeral virtual version—unless, of course, you stop by Bruar Falls tonight to witness a dead-tree dinosaur lost in the pimply fantasia of his own teen dream and desperately grasping at whatever glory awaits in the dingy environs of a Williamsburg taproom.
Also, I will be wearing six-inch Ace Frehley platform knee-highs.
